Terroir

Divine Winery encompasses the plots central to the wine renaissance that began in the early 1960's of Australia, known as the Jewel in the Pyrenees Crown. The region was named in 1835 by Major Thomas Mitchell, a surveyor who immediately noticed the distinguishing altitude and favorable latitude.

Winemaking in this region began modestly in 1854 and, thanks to international influences, experienced a major resurgence in the late 20th century. The microclimates in the Pyrenees are well suited to provide diurnal temperatures that preserve acidity while achieve ripeness, resulting in a balanced and elegant wine.

Our Philosophy

Our vinification philosophy celebrates the vine and focuses on recording mother nature's story for the year. Our team cares for our vineyards year after year with attention and affection. The resulting product epitomizes nature, of which we are very proud.

Divine Winery is family run estate dedicated to delivering the purest interpretation of the terroir. We embarked on this enological journey with a deep respect for nature. Nestled in the Pyrenees Ranges of Victoria, Australia, we are guardians of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Grigio planted in 1972. Our philosophy has always given precedence to the soil, and we welcome its fruitful gifts. Our love for wine is manifested in all aspects of the process: interpreting vinification theory, pruning of the vines, and growth of the grapes; engaging all members of our family in a collected effort.
